Unfortunately that did not work either; my TV does not find any updates and when I go to http://snu.lge.com on the TV's web browser, it says "LDAS Service html Test" once again. But this time, access.log created the following log:

I don't have Skype installed on my computer, I have disabled the Windows firewall (I am not using any other firewalls on Windows XP) and I can run "startDNS.bat" and afterwards "startHTTP.bat" successfully.

I resetted my TV's settings to the factory defaults just in case. Then I go to my TV's LAN settings and set the DNS to my computer's local IP address (192.168.2.196) and the TV goes online without any problems (all the symbols on the LAN settings page on TV goes green and it says that the TV can connect to the internet).

Finally, I click on check for updates on my TV but after waiting for a while and creating the following log on the startDNS.bat command window (where startHTTP.bat, access.log and error.log do not create any logs and the "in_dump.txt" file stays empty) my TV says "No Update Found":

My TV's model is Turkish LG 49UF8507 and my current software version is 04.10.10.

I also tried the same exact procedure with another modem and another computer (over both WiFi and LAN) to eliminate any possible networking errors but again my TV didn't find any updates. It seems like my response file is not valid for my TV model or what exactly am I doing wrong here?

Seems that LG changed something in the update check procedure for 2015 year models. I don't have one to look at it, need to sniff traffic to original update server to decide, what may be wrong. They could switch from http to https, or to non-standart port, for example.

How can I sniff the traffic to the original LG update servers? After setting automatic DNS settings on my TV, can I use tools like Wireshark on my computer to do that?

Download the first file in the archive link Откат и восстановление предыдущих версий прошивок Remove the disk folder C:\LgDTVUpDater. Extract all of the archive to the root of the drive. Load the second file, remove the required data in the folder C:\LgDTVUpDater and change out all the data on the disk in the C:\LgDTVUpDater. Follow all the instructions as written it using a file start.bat.

Thanks a lot for your help. I don't speak Russian but hopefully Google Translate will help me understand your instructions clearly So, just to make sure that I have understood them correctly, I want to share with you what I understand from Google Translate please correct me if I am wrong anywhere in the procedure:

So, I will first download and extract "LgDTVUpDater_2015.zip" to my C:\ so that I will have a new C:\LgDTVUpDater folder (having deleted first the current folder that I am using).

Then I will download "LgDTVUpDater_Izm_10_2015.zip". Remove the "C:\LgDTVUpDater\zagotovki" folder and the instructions file. Then I will extract and overwrite all the contents of the "LgDTVUpDater_Izm_10_2015.zip" file to the C:\LgDTVUpDater folder.

Then I will run "start.BAT" under the "C:\LgDTVUpDater" folder and enter the local IP address of my computer and choose the online method (this would be my preferred method) there. Since I will be using "start.BAT" I don't have to edit the "C:\LgDTVUpDater\dns\AcrylicHosts.txt" file to type in my IP address again.

I will check for updates on my TV and hopefully it will find an update this time then after the update process (actually downgrade) is completed, I will fix the DNS to automatic on my TV and reset its settings to the factory defaults.

Also, if I will try the local update method, this time I will take the reponse file from the "C:\LgDTVUpDater\zagotovki\local\" folder. I will add "my.local.ip.address lgtvonline.lge.com" at the end of the "C:\LgDTVUpDater\dns\AcrylicHosts.txt" file. Also I will add the following snippet to the end of the "C:\LgDTVUpDater\apache\conf\httpd.conf" file:

I, too, English is not one-to-know. All right, you understand. Nothing will not have to add, it's all there in this package. When using start.bat need to confirm the proposed IP address and select the method rollback. If you choose local, you must also throw into this folder HTDOCS the file software. I have copied the necessary response file from "C:\LgDTVUpDater\zagotovki\local\2015\UF690-UF940, UG870, EG960\03_03_06_DE_GB" to the "htdocs" folder. I updated the "C:\LgDTVUpDater\apache\conf\httpd.conf" file. I ran the "start.BAT" typed in my IP, choose local method. I made sure that the "Acrylichosts.txt" contents are exactly as you said above. Finally I changed the DNS settings on my TV but it didn't find any updates and the "in_dump.txt" was not updated. The same happened for the online method
