Да. Смотрел телевизор, в правом верхнем углу появилась надпись, что идет "обновление пульта Magic Remote" и пульт может временно не работать.
После того как написало что "обновление завершено", зашел в настройки и увидел новую версию прошивки.
А что пульт тоже обновляется?

** NOTES:
(1) The changelog information above is provided as-is, without any further explanation and only when I am able to obtain it. If the information listed above doesn't make sense, please don't ask for clarification, as I have none;
(2) US models are sometimes a version or two behind EU/KOR models - hence the "doubling" of what has changed for various versions;
(3) Do no mess with beta firmware! Beta firmware is only available through the service menu of the tv. The service menu is locked away under a code and you need a special remote. The C9 can be updated via USB but the beta firmware is not available for download so there is no way to update via USB. Messing around in the service menu is a dangerous area, a wrong setting change COULD brick your tv and possibility make if an expensive paperweight. Also installing beta firmware could possibly keep you from updating your tv normally. If the beta firmware number is higher then the publicly released firmware(s), you would not be able to upgrade until the public firmware reaches a higher number than the beta firmware. It's not a guarantee the public ones will go higher in number so you could be stuck work beta firmware for a long time and miss out on features and fixes with publicly released firmware. People with a C8 model who updated the beta firmware have already missed about 2 updates that were released publicly because the public release of the updates was numbered lower.



Order of updates per regions
- LG does not push the firmware updates for all regions at once, but in a staggered manner, the newest version goes to Korean TV sets, and the oldest version to the US TV sets:
1. South Korea - the newest version
2. EU - version n-1
3. UK/AUS/NZ - version n-2
4. US - version n-3


Expected/Announced features to be delivered via firmware updates:

The first half of 2019

- support for 4K/2160p 120Hz content via HDMI 2.1 ports (there are some hints about December 2019 - along with 8K support for the Z9 flagship);
- support for HDCP 2.3 (~ December 2019);
- support for OLED Motion Pro or Black Frame Insertion (BFI) at 120Hz refresh and a 75/25/BFI cycle *1a) & *1b);
- Nvidia G-Sync Compatible support for the C9 and E9, announced at IFA 2019, expected delivery "in the weeks to follow" (probably Oct/Nov 2019);
- 5.1/7.1 LPCM eARC Pass-Through support - there are faint signs (by LG customer support, on Sept 2019) that this issue may be resolved in a future firmware update - with an unknown delivery timeframe - do not expect much of this, UPDATE-1: expected delivery is end of 2019 "According to our technology department, a major update for eARC is planned towards the end of the year" but "At the moment we can't tell if the desired LCPM codec will be included." UPDATE-2: "Multi-channel support for PCM will be provided via a software upgrade early in 2020." UPDATE-3: "LG will be introducing PCM Multi-channel support when using eARC in the 2nd quarter of 2020. This will be possible via a software update for 2019 & 2020 TV that support eARC.";

*1a) - [description] The OLED Motion Pro BFI@120Hz was a very interesting feature to have because it was to bring to OLED TV's the Plasma/CRT-like motion qualities that everyone talks about. Since OLED panels do not have a backlight (to be strobed) and OLED panels are very, very fast (too fast) at displaying images, the only way to display a moving image is by employing "sample and hold" - this sample and hold technique combined with the native fastness of the OLED panel generates image stutter (not judder). This image stutter can be eliminated by inserting a black frame between the frames, fast enough so that the eye can be tricked and with minimal Soap Opera Effect. Hence, the BFI at 120Hz was promised.
*1b) - [explanation] The OLED Motion Pro BFI@120Hz was removed immediately before launch - it might resurface but do not hold your breath for it - unofficial speculation about the OLED Motion Pro BFI@120Hz removal is that BFI@120Hz requires a 240Hz Effective Refresh Rate, the 2019 OLED C9 has a panel that supports 240Hz Effective Refresh Rate but the reason it is not being used is because LG needed to employ temporal dithering to resolve the flashing/overshoot issue that has plagued the 2018 OLED generation; in conclusion, BFI@120Hz conflicts with temporal dithering and it was removed; if LG does find a way to cure the flashing/overshoot issues by not disabling the BFI@120Hz this feature may come back, if not, it will stay disabled forever - so keep your hopes low;


Expected support lifecycle via firmware updates:
- LG offers firmware updates for its TVs on average during a two years span, so if the TV is a 2019 generation, you can expect to receive firmware updates from 2019 to 2020, but firmware updates can be released even for 3 years or more, especially critical security-related updates.
- LG has never offered updates for its WebOS (or the older NetCast) operating systems, so the new features are never backported to older WebOS operating systems - only security-related updates are released for minor or major versions of WebOS operating systems. So the LG OLED C9 will stay forever on the WebOS version 4.5.

Народ уже озадачил narpol @ Вывод звука в формате Dolby Atmos (Dolby TrueHD), но что-то пока таких (откликнувшихся/владеющих такими сетапами) не видно

А что с внешнего медиаплеера с такой частотой передавать требуется? Об этом геймеры страдают (на будущее), а потребители видеоконтента нормально обходятся и еще долго обходиться будут.

Насчет "долго" я сильно сомневаюсь.
