I am using an UB 850 with firmware 5.5.55.
About 2weeks ago I started to have problems with the channel list :
channels got resorted, sometimes hidden, or just disappeared
Resetting to factory defaults and a rescan of all channels just helps for a few days.
What can I do ?

Translating and trying to explain what tessi meant with his reply: disable in the TV menu (settings I suppose) the "Auto-update channels" option.

I think I found a reason for this behavior :
As soon as the TV started, an external device
kicked in and switched the TV to one
of the HDMI inputs. I changed it and now the TV seems to work
as expected.

Hallo Russian tech mates, greetings from Greece. I bought a bugdet tv named 49LH590V. I liked the picture quality and the sound but the menus are very slow.
A few other users have reported the same around the web. It comes with WebOS 3 if I am right. I updated it to the latest version.
Still the tv guide takes some seconds to load as well as other options from customisation menus. It generally feels very slow when wandering around the menus.
I dont bother much about the smart features.
Is there anything I can do to reduce this lagging?
How hopeful should I be about LG fixing it with updates in the near future? Thanks for your time!

What version of the firmware in tv ? You tried resetting the factory settings ?

Version is 04.30.45. (WebOS 3.3.1-3111 dreadlocks-deua)
It's laggy since the welcome screen I saw the first time I turned it on so I don't think a factory reset would improve it.
Seems like the software is too heavy for the hardware.

No, you can't. Unless you upgrade your TV.
